They Dance Alone

Late at night,

in the depths

of their darkness

they dance alone.

Each and everyday

they hide away,

so none see as

they dance alone.

They look this

way and that,

left and right,

they dance alone.

They are in love

though none can

know this fact.

They dance alone.

Like the tale

Romeo and Juliet

they must care

They dance alone.

One day they

will walk away

hand in hand.

They dance alone.

Until the day

they are free.

Every night

they dance alone.
