If you walk into the cafe two or three times a week, order your coffee or tea and smile her way while you wait you'll brighten her day. And when you finally have enough courage to say hello or ask how she's doing you'll become her new sunshine in a very cloudy world. Then you'll get up the nerve and offer her a seat with you where you spend all day saying anything and everything that comes to mind. Just so you know, she notices the sparkle in your eye when you catch her reading a new book or hear the way she hums along with the radio as she adds more ink to her already full notebook. She already giggles when you look her way but bump into the counter or someone else just waiting for their order. And on Fridays she's the one who pays for your drink before you're even there.

Just Waiting
